This year, Steelcase continues to build on global capability to help leading organizations – in business, healthcare and education – create the places that can amplify the performance of their organizations.
Whether it’s a brand new solution or an enhancement to a current product, this year’s offerings at NeoCon by the Steelcase family of companies had something for everybody.
Gesture Chair (GOLD AWARD)
Technology is the single greatest force driving the changes in the way we work, live and behave. The new, multiple devices we deploy throughout our work day allow us to flow between tasks, fluidly, and frequently. Gesture is the first chair designed to support our interactions with today’s technologies. Inspired by the movement of the human body. Created for the way we work today.
V.I.A. Walls (GOLD AWARD)
Walls aren’t going away—they’re simply being asked to do more. V.I.A. creates intelligent rooms, designed to augment human interaction by providing true acoustical privacy and hosting technology. It provides a sense of permanence with the speed and design flexibility of a relocatable wall.
In 2004, the Think chair was quickly lauded as a breakthrough innovation, and became a global bestseller. Since its original introduction, workers are even more mobile while we have learned more about new materials and new performance capabilities. With this knowledge, we are excited to introduce this insightful redesign of one of our global bestselling chairs, Think. Smarter. Simpler. More Sustainable.
TagWizard is a personal space reservation system, allowing users to quickly find an available space, scan-in and reserve any shared individual workspace. Mobile workers can “tag” a space on demand, from their computer or mobile device.
Active project teams need active spaces. media:scape TeamStudio is a setting designed to support active project teams by removing both physical and virtual barriers to collaboration. Designed to allow participants to freely engage with both analog and digital tools, TeamStudio creates an environment optimized for active collaboration.
Designed specifically to meet the needs of video collaboration for 1-2 people, media:scape kiosk supports casual, quick informative video conversation. Whether in the open plan or a small enclave, media:scape kiosk was designed with key video factors in mind, such as lighting, sightlines and acoustics.
The new Virtual PUCK app allows any meeting participant to wirelessly share content from their personal laptop or tablet, maintaining media:scape’s simple Open, Connect, Share experience.
Regard Environment (GOLD AWARD)
As we looked across the types of experiences throughout a patient’s healthcare journey, we saw an opportunity for improvement for the times spent in transition. Though different for each individual, these nonproductive moments were often marked with anxiety and frustration for both patients and loved ones. Regard transforms these moments by extending choice, creating a more connected, comfortable, and informed experience for all involved.
Laqunitas Environment (GOLD AWARD)
From the conventional to the casual, Lagunitas adapts to changing workstyles and shifting work postures. A comprehensive seating and tables collection, Lagunitas creates a “third place” anywhere while offering multi-modal support and varying degrees of privacy through high and low panels. The unique articulating back cushion allows for toggling between lean forward and lean back postures. The 50 pieces within the collection allow for endless configurations and the seating and tables both offer power.
Bouy Chair (INNOVATION AWARD)
Moving is good for you. Which is why Buoy swivels, turns, tilts, and moves up and down. It’s active sitting. It keeps our bodies active and our minds sharp. So go ahead, have a seat. With six bold colors, and endless ways to personalize, Buoy is a moving experience.
QiVi Collaborative Seating
It’s a challenge to maintain concentration throughout a lengthy meeting. Loss of focus and fatigue are common place due mainly to people sitting in a static position for long periods of time. Productive collaborative working requires a chair that enables users to change position at will. That’s why Steelcase has introduced QiVi – a new member of its High Performance Collaborative Seating range. QiVi is designed to encourage movement, to support different postures and – as always – to guarantee ergonomic comfort.
