Armada

A Headquarters Worth the Commute
Completed: May 2026
Location: Marshall Township, PA
Scope: Furniture, Falkbuilt
Architect: Desmone Architects
General Contractor: NAI Burns Scalo

The Challenge:

Growth Outpaced the Old Office

Armada Supply Chain Solutions had outgrown its previous home. As one of Pittsburgh's largest private companies scaled from 100 employees to 340, it needed a headquarters built for how the team works now. Leadership framed the move as a new chapter, grounded in the belief that the best work happens when people are together. The space had to support everything from focused time to large training sessions and open collaboration, and it had to feel worth showing up for. Armada also had a specific vision for private workspace: a series of flexible 8x8 offices that conventional construction could not match on cost, timeline, or finish.

The Solution:

One Cohesive Space, Built to Adapt

Armada was asking 340 employees to come back together, so the headquarters had to earn the trip. That meant private offices flexible enough to keep pace with growth and a sophisticated design that tied all three floors together while giving each space its own character. Franklin partnered with Desmone Architects and NAI Burns Scalo to deliver it, guiding Armada from early design through installation. Showroom visits, a tour of a comparable completed space, and strong visuals up front helped their team feel confident before the first wall went up. Here is how we delivered:
  • Private offices that flex: a custom freestanding 8x8 office, engineered to solve a need standard solutions couldn't, with integrated writable surfaces and a durable finish, built to reconfigure as the team grows
  • Glass-fronted offices and meeting rooms: a clean, modern look across offices, conference rooms, huddle rooms, and entrances, with secure access built in
  • Spaces for every way the team works: Steelcase and Enwork furniture across workstations, private offices, meeting and training rooms, open collaboration areas, and the work cafe
  • A faster, cleaner build: prefabricated construction installed quicker than conventional building and held a consistent finish across every room, all backed by warranty

The Impact:

Built to Bring the Team Together

When the Armada team walked into the finished headquarters, the reaction was immediate. People loved how the space looked and felt, and the fit and finish drew consistent praise. As the first tenant in the long-vacant Innovation Pointe building, Armada now occupies 65,000 square feet with room to expand as its Pittsburgh head count grows. The result is a workplace that supports the company's culture and its reason for moving: giving 340 employees a place where the best work gets done together.
