What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas — sometimes it hits the runway in full glam.
Last Friday, our talented design team stepped into the spotlight at Fashion Meets Finish, a one-of-a-kind competition where creativity collides with commercial design. Inspired by the hit show Project Runway, this annual event challenges designers to craft wearable garments using unconventional materials from interior product manufacturers. The 2025 theme, Living Art, invited participants to bring iconic artwork to life — and our team went all in.
Our concept? “Vegas Glam Meets the Dog Pound.”
Taking inspiration from the legendary Dogs Playing Poker, our team imagined a scene straight from a smoky backroom casino, complete with high rollers, fur collars, poker faces, and a whole lot of attitude. The resulting garment was bold, cheeky, and totally unforgettable.
Our look featured:
🎲 A wood-look PET “table” skirt, giving nods to those green felt-covered poker tables — but with a modern, sustainable twist
🎲 Real poker chips as embellishments
🎲 A fuzzy fur collar and dramatic red beret made from Buzzi fabric
🎲 Suspenders for structure and a pop of vintage flair
🎲 Bold makeup, rhinestones, and statement lashes for that over-the-top Vegas finish
It was a true team effort — and like any great poker night, it came with good company and a lot of laughs. We’re incredibly grateful to Tim O’Neill & Associates for sponsoring our team and to Tracey Corbo, who played the ultimate team “mom” and kept us organized (and sane) every step of the way.
From concept to runway, this project reminded us how fun design can be when you take a creative risk. We’re proud of the imagination and craftsmanship our team brought to life — and even more proud to work alongside people who aren’t afraid to go all in.
